At Augsburg Academy, our first priority is to provide every student with the best possible educational experience, through which the students God-given talents and abilities are developed and strengthened. Second, we encourage strong and healthy bodies through athletics and physical education. Third, we strive to build moral, ethical, and emotional leadership in our students
Our Christian Faith. As a Christian school in the Lutheran (evangelische) tradition, we accept the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament) and the New Testament as the true and inspired Word of God. We are saved by God's grace through Jesus Christ, and not by any works, actions, or beliefs of our own. In the Augsburg Academy setting, we practice and teach our Christian faith through our religious education program (twice-weekly instruction for all grades), weekly chapel services, and daily prayer.

Our vision is to build Augsburg Academy into one of the regions top private schools, which will be known for strong academic programs, outstanding athletic programs, and superior character and leadership development. Our students will be among the leaders of the next generation, and our faculty will represent the best and the brightest in their fields. Working with parents, alumni, donors, patrons, and our community, Augsburg will establish a world-class academic facility that not only serves the needs of students today, but is also a positive influence and resource for the greater Laurel and metropolitan Washingtron DC community.
